Kirkland & Ellis Grabs Two Supreme Court Wins in One Day – Bloomberg Law

Kirkland & Ellis won two Supreme Court cases on April 1, racking up victories for Facebook Inc. in a robocall case and for Georgia in the state’s long-running water-rights dispute with Florida.

Kirkland partners Paul Clement and Craig Primis argued for the company and the state, respectively.

And in the dispute billed as the copyright case of the decade, Alphabet Inc.’s Google won the closely-watched case against Oracle on April 5. Goldstein & Russell’s Tom Goldstein argued for Google, helping the company avoid potentially billions of dollars in liability for using Oracle’s programming code in its Android operating system.
